I've been married 19 years, to a wonderful woman Mari, have two children, one boy Adam (17), and a girl Rachel (14). Found a lump under my left armpit May 2008, was diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma of the left auxillary lymph nodes. Had these removed 8/8/08.
I still have no primary site, after endless checks. Magic eyes and poking and prodding..
Started four week course of interferon September 8th, which has now
finished, and I won't lie, it was rough. So hopefully in the next few weeks
I can try I return some normality back into my life. If I can remember what
that is.
Have got a CT scan 20/10/08, so fingers crossed.The scan has come back
with something on my liver. My first scan back in July said it was a cyst,
and don't worry. Now after all the above treatment and another CT scan they
are not too sure. So I'm waiting for an Ultrasound on my liver to find out
what this is. It is a endless waiting game.
Update-all OK at mo, had a recent CT scan Jan. 20th and all is well. So suppose I'll have to go back to work now Feb 2nd. My works have been brill and didn't want me back until now. That's 7 months on the sick, and on full pay. You can't knock that, can you?
